Objectives of the Institute

The objectives for which the Institute is established are:
1. To provide sound leadership and excellent professionals in the Supply Chain end-to-end (Integrated) stream.
2. To provide thorough international standard Core Supply Chain Management professional programs aimed at effectively managing global Supply Chain Management Challenges.
3. To ensure that our courses in the supply chain stream such as SCM strategies and strategic streams, Sourcing/Procurement, Materials & Supplies Administration and Management, Logistics & Transport/shipping Management & Business Administration, IT Magt, Project Management, Contracts & SCM Legal streams, Operations and Risks and others are tailored for national and corporate development.

4. To become a beacon of excellence in Integrated Supply Chain knowledge through Research and Development in Africa and beyond.
5. To become a center for the determination (new and/or review) standards of knowledge in Integrated Supply Chain and support Nations, Organizations and Corporate bodies to effectively implement Supply Chain Ideals and Strategies.
6. To provide facilities for interested parties and members of the Institute to meet and discuss pertinent issues on Supply Chain Management.
7. To maintain discipline within the profession.
8. To establish and maintain the Register of Fellows, Affiliates and Students of the Institute and secure and publish a register of members of the Institute.
9. To bring together individuals and organizations interested in the art and science of Supply Chain Management through workshops, training, conferences, dialogues, meetings, publications and industrial contacts.
10. To train and award various levels of professional certificates to deserving individuals, students and corporate bodies as it may be deemed.

Our Courses

Supply Chain Management

It is a 2-year programme that explores the nature, role and contribution of supply chain management and its application to industrial and consumer-based supply chains. It equips the student with an understanding of supply chain management from both a customer and supplier perspective, and aims to prepare them for a managerial role in a supply organization.

The program also enables students to get a deeper understanding of managing the global pipeline, the challenges of supply chain, global sourcing, offshore manufacturing and the impact of globalization on the total supply chain.

Procurement Management (NQF-5)

The programme will provide a range of knowledge and competencies in fields such as business communications for procurement managers, digital literacy systems and financial management as well as general management skills and procurement principles. Work-directed, problem-based and project-based work integrated learning, will enable a learner to gain work related experience and apply their knowledge and skills in the workplace. If you are just entering the field, or are a senior professional wanting to upskill and develop yourself, we have the right programme for you.

Successful procurement management is based on sound development, evaluation and implementation of procurement management principles. Individuals who want to gain a comprehensive understanding of procurement management and understand the scope of and developments in procurement management would benefit from this SLP.

Project Management (NQF-5)

Our project management qualification offering includes both higher education and training (HET) programmes, others are further education and training (FET) programmes. These qualifications start with learnerships and skills programmes at NQF level 2 and progress up to NQF level 5. This means that our range of qualifications cater for every level of employee in an organization. Students at PNP who start with the National Diploma NQF level 2 learnerships can work towards the higher level over time, acquiring valuable knowledge and skills at each level.you.If you are just entering the field, or are a senior professional wanting to upskill and develop yourself, we have the right programme for you.

This Open Learning Group is silver Member of Project Management, Nigeria. This provides our students with a number of benefits including discounts on PMPA membership fees and permission to re-distribute electronic version of ProjectMet submissions to facilitate networking. Business Administration (NQF-6)
